In the past releases when working with Autodesk Inventor you have not had the ability to automatically clear an area of hatch out to have text clearly visible.  So your drawing view may have looked something like this:

In Autodesk Inventor 2011 that has all changed.  Autodesk added the ability to automatically break hatch patterns when adding text.  So now your drawing views will look something like this:

Arc Text….Another cool feature in Inventor 2009

Ever had a need to put a screen printing of text on a part like a wheel?

Well now you can do just that in a model sketch. This is one of the many feature enhansments to Inventor 2009.

It is very easy to do and gives you a ton of control of the text, even the ability to do it in reverse for inside printing on glass.

Check out my Video here:

Inventor 2009 is "Stacked" – And so is its text now

Inventor 2009 now allows the ability to Auto-Stack text in any of the text editing dialog boxes. Much like AutoCAD, Inventor now prompts us to how we want to display a fraction such as 7/8 or 1 1/2. There are options for horizontal or diagonal fractions, and the position or size of the fraction can also be adjusted.

Take a look at this video for an example of the options that are now available:
